Optical Attenuators

PFP's Single-mode and Multi-mode Optical Attenuators are wave length insensitive and Bellcore GR 910 compliant. We stock both fixed and variable fiber optical attenuators, including SC, ST, FC, LC and MU varieties of attenuators. Attenuation levels available from 1 dB to 25dB, including Zero dB (MM only).

Our fiber optic Multimode and Singlemode fixed attenuators as well as our variable optical attenuators are passive components that reduces the amplitude of a light signal without significantly changing the wave form itself. Precision Fiber Products recommends this optical component for Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) where the receiver cannot accept the signal generated from a high-power light source.
